They reiterated their full support for the convening of this Conference, emphasizing that this forum, by its universal and democratic nature, is the space conducive to discuss this important topic. They expressed their satisfaction at the progressive changes that take place in the region, fruit of broad social movements in favour of Justice and rejection of economic and political models dependent and mutually exclusive, which have promoted inequality and inequity and facing us at the beginning of the 21st century to a crisis economic global generated in developed countries. In relation to the global economic crisis, emphasized once again the responsibility of the economies of developed countries and the economic policies followed and promoted by their Governments in the source and depth of this crisis. They recalled that solutions must be the product of a broad and participatory discussion and that the attempt to impose solutions taken into the bosom of exclusionary groups such as the G-20, the rest of the international community is unacceptable.
